Machine Learning
A sub-set of AI, machine learning is the study of computer algorithms that can improve automatically through experience and the use of data. Machine learning algorithms build a model based on sample data, known as “training data,” in order to make predictions or decisions without being explicitly programmed to do so.
Metamerism
Metamerism is a phenomenon that occurs when two colours appear to match under one lighting condition, but not when the light condition changes. Gemstone alexandrite exhibits metamerism and is particularly appreciated because of the way it changes its colour based on the lighting - green in daylight and red in incandescent light.
