CIE L*a*b*
A perceptually uniform colour space in which colours are located within a three-dimensional rectangular coordinate system, the three dimensions are lightness (L*), redness/greenness (a*) and yellowness/blueness (b*). This colour model best describes human vision.
Classification
AI and machine-learning technique that assign a set of predefined categories to be used to organize, structure, and categorize images, documents, emails within any application.
Colorimeter
A device that measures colour and calculates values in three-dimensional colour spaces that closely represent human vision.
Colour Rendering Index
Measure of the amount of colour change that objects exhibit when illuminated by a light source as compared with the colour of those same objects when illuminated by a reference source of comparable colour temperature.
Colour Temperature
A scale used to refer to the visible energy system of various light sources in degrees Kelvin. For instance, noon daylight is 5500 Kelvin (blue-white colour), while a tungsten light-bulb produces an orange colour at approximately 3200 Kelvin.
